A 15.6-Inch LCD and Capacitive Touch Assembly with Air Bonding

This Ever Glory 15.6-inch touch display module combines an LCD with a G+G capacitive touch panel. The two components are joined around the perimeter, leaving an air gap in the viewing area. This construction is known as air bonding or frame bonding.

It provides an integration option for equipment projects where assembly design, project cost and access to individual components are important. Indoor HMI systems and compact self-service terminals are examples of applications in which this construction can be evaluated.

What this product is: a touch display module that includes an LCD and a capacitive touch panel. It is not a separate touch overlay without LCD, an enclosed touch monitor or a complete terminal.

Understanding the Air-Bonded Structure

  • Dust, moisture and mechanical loads: evaluate the enclosure, perimeter construction and mounting supports as part of the finished system.
