How to solve the problems of coordinate drift, disconnection and reduced sensitivity of the touch screen under high and low temperatures in outdoor applications?
1.Equipped with industrial ultra-wide temperature range chips with an operating temperature of -40℃ to +85℃. Built-in native temperature drift suppression circuits ensure stable operation of sampling circuits and computing logic under extreme temperatures, eliminating touch disconnection and sensitivity degradation caused by abnormal IC performance.

2.Replace conventional ITO with ultra-low temperature drift ITO film. Its resistance variation rate is no more than 2% across the range of -30℃ to +70℃, preventing electrode signal deviation and local circuit breakage caused by temperature changes.

3.Adopt borosilicate tempered glass and low-temperature resistant non-fragile PET for the cover plate. They feature minimal thermal expansion and contraction, avoiding tension on conductive circuits.

4.All optical adhesives, edge sealants, foams and back adhesives are ultra-wide temperature weather-resistant materials. They will not harden or crack at low temperatures, nor soften or bleed at high temperatures. Resistors, capacitors, crystals and other components are all industrial-grade with an operating range of -40℃ to +85℃, ensuring stable parameters without fluctuation.

5.Equipped with low-temperature start-up LDO voltage regulator module. It ensures normal oscillation and stable power supply without voltage drop at extremely low temperatures, and restrains voltage drift in high-temperature environments. The overall power fluctuation of the device is controlled within ±1% to keep the IC operating steadily.

6.Multiple high-precision temperature sensors are onboard to collect real-time temperature data of the screen, IC and enclosure. The touch signals adopt differential sampling and independent wiring, keeping away from heat sources to reduce signal interference caused by temperature gradients.

7.Adopt multi-stage EMI/ESD filtering to suppress noise during alternating high and low temperatures, avoiding intermittent touch failure and ghost touches.

How to mitigate the impact of outdoor dust on touch performance?
1.Eliminate right-angle grooves and stepped gaps. The frame is designed with rounded chamfers and sloped surfaces to prevent dust and sediment from accumulating, allowing them to slide off naturally with wind and rain. The clearance between the panel and housing is minimized to within 0.3 mm on each side.

2.The FPC and cable ports adopt integrated rubber dust-proof grommets combined with labyrinth sealing structures. Multi-bend passages block dust and sand from entering. The ports are oriented downward or sideways to prevent dust and sand buildup.

3.An extended dust shield is installed on top of the screen to block falling dust and blown sand and reduce direct dust ingress. An inclined drainage surface is reserved at the device bottom to prevent sediment accumulation.

4.The four sides of the touch screen are fully sealed with continuous weather-resistant sealant to block interlayer gaps and prevent delamination and circuit wear caused by dust and sand infiltration. A full-circle foamed dustproof and waterproof strip is fitted between the module and housing for dual protection.

5.The whole device adopts a sealed cavity design. Only ventilation holes fitted with dust screens and waterproof breathable membranes are reserved, enabling air circulation while blocking dust. Sealant is applied to all screw holes and assembly gaps to eliminate dust accumulation paths.

6.Internal interfaces and terminals use industrial connectors with dust caps, which stay covered when not in use. Wiring areas are placed in separate isolated compartments for physical separation from dusty zones.

7.The cover adopts high-alumina-silicon tempered glass with surface hardness ≥7H. It resists friction and scratches from dust particles, preventing surface abrasion, whitening and reduced light transmittance. Ordinary soft PET panels are not used.
